Titanic - A Century To The Tragedy Of Human Technology And Civilization Or The Success Of Nature?

In a solitude of the sea
Deep from human vanity
And the pride of life that planned her, stilly couches she

Titanic on her maiden voyage!

Titanic, One of the three Olympic class ocean liners, operated by White Star Line was built between 1909- 1911 by the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast.

Titanic before leaving for North America

April 10th 1912, Titanic left South Hampton, England with a sum of 2,224 passengers, her passengers included some of the wealthiest people in the world and over a thousand emigrants from Great Britain , Ireland, Scandinavia and elsewhere who were in seek of a new life in North America. Name any comfort that Titanic didnt have within to offer her passengers from on board gymnasium, swimming pool, libraries, high -class restaurant, opulent cabins to powerful wireless telegraph for the convenience of passengers. She even had high safety features like water tight compartment and remotely activated water tight doors, precisely she had everything and every safety that a human mind could think and provide his fellow being.

April 14th 1912, that makes four days after her maiden voyage and 375 miles( 600km) south of Newfoundland, 11:40 pm ( ship's time) Titanic- the symbol of human pride hit her devastating fate - The Ice berg! This collision was the second attack of nature on human's pride or helplessness in front of it's secret plan, yes the second! why second? because the first attack that nature did was blindfolding human's mind by making them carry only enough lifeboats, had there been life boats as per the passengers, death toll would have been reduced.
So the Titanic hit the ice berg and that caused her hull's plate to buckle inwards in a number of locations and made open five of her sixteen watertight compartments to the sea.Over the next two hours and a half the ship gradually filled with water and finally the " Unsinkable'' sank!

The fate of Titanic right after

Passengers and some crew members were evacuated in life boats and even of those few lifeboats  many were partly filled! imagine this scenario that people were about to face their untimely death and the few lifeboats that were available  then even they had protocol by the officers, this made over 90% of male passengers from the second class to stay on board at the mercy of nature. The protocol by the officers was - women and children first!

Alright they boarded the women and the little ones but why did they let the boats half filled? fear of toppling? or you'd say nature was even not satisfied even after this all? why the nature was so after Titanic and its passengers that one after one mistake made the reason of their tragic and always to remember death?

Over a thousand sank with the bow and died because of Hypothermia including our beloved Jack * sigh with a wink* , 710 survivors were taken aboard by the Carpathia few hours later .. among them our Rose too survived * wink* ( Jack and Rose's reference here is added  to lighten the mood, apologies for any offence! )

Out of 2, 224 only 710 were lucky enough to get saved, 1514 lost their lives to Titanic. that makes the ratio of 32: 68, that means less than one third only survived,  some of even them died shortly due to injuries ....

The third class of the Titanic faced step brother fate, 5 of 6 children from first class and all the children from second class were saved whereas only 52 out of 79 from the third class were saved from being perished ..  isn't it ironic that from " women and children" only this became the saving toll? 3 percent of women from first class lost their lives whereas 52 percent from third class lost their lives. Why the people who were seeing the death right in to their eyes were blinded by the status boundaries of saving the first class and the second class the most? this didn't end here on the death, all the first class passengers who died their bodies were preserved and the third class passengers along the crew were made to sleep peacefully in the sea ...

We are now commemorating the 100th anniversary on 14th april 2012, it's now on us to justify to mourn at our people's death or at our helplessness in front of nature or God? we agree or not The Unsinkable was meant to Sink because it became the victim between the God's pride and the Human's pride!

R.I.P the survivors and the victims, You'll are still and shall always be missed!
